US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice's speech at Princeton: -Extremist ideas come from an extremely sick and frustrated Middle Eastern region
-US's goal, an obvious conclusion arrived at right after the Sept 11 terrorist attacks on the WTC, is that the Middle East region needs to be transformed.
-It was impossible to invigorate a region while a monster like Saddam is ruling Iraq, because he sticks to limited selfish principals and is not willing to compromise.
-It was obvious Afghanistan needed to be invaded if you believe the Middle East is fucked up and can cause extreme ideas to prosper.
-Democracy is the only option for freedom.
-This exclusive corner on the market of freedom is not a product manufactured and exported by the US, because it is an ideal, and ideals are not limited to a particular country.
-Egypt and Saudi Arabia are US's two oldest friends
-Yassar Arafat was a very bad man. Thank goodness Bush refused to work with him. Now there are two good leaders in place who are good because they will compromise (that will ensure peace).
-Egypt's elections were flawed this summer.
-Made claims that: just before the US took Saddam down, he was plundering his people, stealing from Oil for Food and generally doing everything normal people in democracies hate. For sure.
